Liverpool remain hopeful of Trent Alexander-Arnold renewing his contract at the club as they look to test the waters one last time with a new updated contract proposal.

JamesWilliam previously reported in December that Trent Alexander-Arnold had not made any decisions regarding his future and that all 3 players with expiring deals were more in favor of staying at Anfield than leaving. Fast forward 5 months, and so far 2/3 of those expiring deals have extended their stay at the club, taking them past 2027. Trent still remains very confidential about his future, but we understand that his agency had previously met with Real Madrid representatives last year in November. It is no secret that the boy from West Derby has been tempted by the potential idea of a move abroad to the Spanish giants, and being able to play alongside his best friend Jude Bellingham is a bonus. Liverpool are aware that they cannot compete with the financial package that Real Madrid has offered Trent; however, they have not lost hope.

We understand that Trent Alexander-Arnold is still open to the idea of renewing his contract at his boyhood club. He has previously declined proposals from the club amid the uncertainty over his fellow teammates deals, but as things currently are, Trent has made a U-turn on what looked like a decision set in stone, as reported by the Spanish media. Trent's naiveness over his future has been blown out of proportion, with multiple media channels abroad fabricating stories implying a deal has been struck with Real Madrid since January. We can assure you that is not the case. As things stand, Trent Alexander-Arnold is still in favor of extending his stay at Liverpool but also knows that this may be his only chance to play at a club like Real Madrid.

Should Trent Alexander-Arnold decide to join Real Madrid this summer, he would be heavily compensated with a deal worth significantly over £250,000 p/w. Real Madrid being Adidas's main elite kit partner would help play a part in the monumental PR package that would come with signing for a club like the Galacticos. Liverpool will have a shortlist of options available, with an already very busy summer shaping up ahead of them. Arne Slot was known in his previous roles as a "youth wizard," with indications that Conor Bradley could become Liverpool's starting right fullback for the 25/26 season, which would lead recruitment to look elsewhere for young prospects, with the likes of Feyenoord's Givairo Read (18) having already impressed Arne during his time at Feyenoord. In company with FC Porto's Martim Fernandes (19), who is highly admired amongst senior figures at Anfield.
