With Luis Diaz's future uncertain, Liverpool failing to renew the Colombian early in 2025. Sights could return to Anthony Gordon, with the winger ready to push for the move if needs be.

In last summer's transfer window, Newcastle United was in a financial crisis with the club facing the possibility of fines and point deductions over the Premier League's financial fair play rules, otherwise known as FFP. Liverpool opened contract talks with Luis Diaz over extending his deal back in January; however, talks came to a standstill. Diaz is greatly appreciated amongst many European leagues, with the Colombian having Barcelona & AC Milan both interested in him. Also suitors in the Saudi League that would be ready to test the waters with an eye-watering price. Luis Diaz is entering the final two years of his contract. Despite belief, the winger has been one of the best in his position this season, a general consensus around the club that Arne Slot has massively improved his game. Steadily outperforming his xG/xA (9.99)/(4.34) with 12 goals & 5 assists this season in the Premier League. You can see why the club is trying once again to renew the winger, although there is a belief that Liverpool could look to reinforce the left wing position regardless; however, the candidate could be significantly younger rather than the possibility of a player in the age range of an Anthony Gordon/Rodrygo.

It wouldn't come as a shock if LFC tested their hand at the Brazilian.
